Musculoskeletal Pain Assessments

Dr. Jean-Philippe Garant is certified in family medicine, with additional training in emergency medicine.

He’s a clinical instructor at the Université de Sherbrooke Faculty of Medicine.

He has developed several training courses in cardiac and musculoskeletal point-of-care ultrasound.

He’s known for his creativity, expertise and empathy.

The evaluation process is the opportunity to answer any of your questions and discuss your objectives. It includes a physical examination and a point-of-care ultrasound, if required.

It makes it possible to formulate an accurate diagnosis, to consider different treatment options and estimate the healing time.

You can see Dr. Garant for an evaluation even if you don’t want an injection.

Potential patients :

For anyone with joint, tendon or back pain, including pain caused by a work accident (CNESST) or a traffic accident (SAAQ).

Musculoskeletal Pain Assessments is covered by your health insurance card.

In order to see Dr. Garant for a first evaluation, patients are required to have a referral from a doctor.

Physicians looking to refer their patients should ideally request an X-ray of the affected region to rule out a bone lesion, then fax a consultation request at (833) 570-5259.

Waiting time is about 6 weeks.
